Operations Assistant - Costuming: 

Tutu Tales Party Productions is Central Florida's largest provider of character entertainment for birthday parties and special events! Offering over 450 characters to choose from, our company prides itself in not only providing the most vast selection, but also the most high quality costumes! To keep up with our company standards, we are seeking a dedicated and creative individual to join our "fairy godmother" team of Operations Assistants. This individual should be very familiar with beloved characters such as Disney princesses, Marvel & DC superheroes and other popular cartoons.

We provide a costuming studio with a sewing and repairs area. This individual is responsible for working weekly on costumes that require repairs and wigs that require restyles. We need an eye for detail and quality solutions! You will be working on high-end commissioned ballgowns, mascot characters, shoes, wigs, and accessories. You will be responsible for laundering, steaming, repairing, and maintaining the costumes and venue linens. We expect all costumes that require attention to be taken care of on a weekly basis. The individual will also need to regularly inspect other stored costumes for defects. Additional duties include managing the sewing inventory and placing orders with management as needed to avoid a shortage of supplies.

To follow our procedures, you must be skilled in utilizing Google Drive to create and retrieve the costume's studio worksheets. You will be given access to a computer and printer for this task. Daily duties include checking your email for urgent projects and tasks, organizing and maintaining the costume warehouse, and completing all tasks as required.

The fixed job hours are:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 10 am - 4 pm with a 30 min unpaid lunch break between 1pm -1:30 pm. Additionally, during busier weeks, you may work extended hours or will be required to come in Friday through Monday to complete the assignments for the week.

 

You will work directly under the owner of the businesses in a team environment. Facebook Messenger is utilized for team communication. Your car will be utilized for related errands. Your cell phone will be utilized for communication purposes and to access team documents remotely. The dress code is business-casual.

Tutu Tales and My Enchanted are a smoke-free and drug-free environment. Due to the sensitivity of the products we work with, we can only hire non-smokers for this position.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $11.00 to $13.00 /hour
